Young Indigenous Project opens vacancies for newly graduated nurses and nursing technicians
The Special Secretariat of Indigenous Health (SESAI), of the Ministry of Health, created the project "Young Indigenous: My First Job" to hire indigenous villagers with a technical or college degree who have never worked in their field. The Special Indigenous Sanitary Districts (DSEI) Xavante, Kaiapó do Pará, Maranhão and Minas Gerais e Espírito Santo have open positions for hiring nurses and nursing technicians during the month of July.
The vacancies are for people who have never worked in the area of education. Only indigenous people who can prove that they belong to ethnic groups that are part of the villages located in the area covered by the Districts can participate in this selection process. The candidates must be registered with the Regional Class Council of the state and be between 18 and 29 years old for nurses, and between 18 and 24 years old for nursing technicians. Salaries are R$ 8,674.62R$ and 2,682.37 respectively.
This is not a public contest and the hiring will be under the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws) through entities that have agreements with SESAI. The simplified selective process is composed of four stages: registration by sending in the form, résumé analysis, title test, objective on-site test, and an interview with the examining commission.
The contract has a fixed start and end date, which cannot exceed two years, and there will be no possibility of renewal for the collaborator´s permanence in the project. Candidates interested in participating must also send, at the time of registration, a declaration proving their ethnicity, and this document must be signed by the chief of the people to which they belong, by the local leadership of the candidate´s village of origin, and by the president of the Local Indigenous Health Council.
