DSEI Altamira performs prevention action against COVID-19
With the theme "The vaccine saves lives. #IwillGet", the vaccination campaign in the Special Indigenous Sanitary District (DSEI) Altamira brought together indigenous people of the Arawete ethnic group for health education actions focused on preventive measures against COVID-19.
"The main intention is that all indigenous people can adhere to the vaccine," explained the nurse from the DSEI Altamira, Vanessa Barroso. The activities were carried out in a playful way and with accessible language for everyone to understand.
The chief Kamarati Arawete, from the Paratatim village, participated in the campaign and sent his message "The vaccine against COVID is very muruputã (good/effective/wonderful).
During the actions, the indigenous people were able to consult and perform rapid tests for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. The opening of the campaign was held in the Juruanti village (Igarapé Ipixuna).
