SESAI discusses actions against COVID-19 with Condisi Presidents
The Special Secretary of Indigenous Health of the Ministry of Health, Robson Santos da Silva, participated in a videoconference with all 34 presidents of Indigenous Health District Councils. The virtual meeting aimed to inform everyone about what is being done by SESAI and the Districts to protect the indigenous people of Brazil from the novel Coronavirus. The secretary answered the CONDISI presidents questions and together they discussed alternatives and strategies for the confrontation of COVID-19. At the end of the meeting, the Secretary said that Social Control is a fundamental piece for the success of health care actions for indigenous people. "Sharing what we are doing, as we are doing with the presidents of Councils is a guarantee that we are acting correctly, without deviating from the focus that is to protect indigenous Brazilians from COVID-19", explained the Secretary.
