SESAI will train indigenous health and sanitation agents in the 34 Districts
This Monday, May 10, technicians from the Special Secretariat of Indigenous Health (SESAI), of the Ministry of Health, arrived in the Special Indigenous Sanitary District (DSEI) of Alagoas and Sergipe to deliver the attendance mode of the Indigenous Health Agent (AIS) and Indigenous Sanitation Agent (AISAN) Update Course. The course will be executed as part of the health education and sanitation actions directed to the indigenous people and developed by SESAI.
From May 10 to 14, these professionals will receive guidance and will be trained to work together with the Multidisciplinary Indigenous Health Team (EMSI) of the DSEI in the fight against infant mortality, in prenatal coverage, in monitoring child development, and in reinforcing the prevention measures for covid-19. In addition to the course, the AIS and AISAN will also receive a kit with materials to optimize the activities they perform in the villages.
As of May 18, the indigenous agents who work in the 34 DSEI will be able to access all the content planned for the course through the “UniverSus Brasil” platform, a virtual teaching environment from the Ministry of Health, and also on SESAI´s YouTube. The students will be able to carry out an evaluation and receive a certificate of participation indicating the completion and workload of the modules attended. SESAI has already sent the DSEI 4.5 thousand kits to support the work of the AIS and 2.3 thousand kits for the AISAN.
