SESAI holds first meeting of the year with the Forum of Presidents of Condisi
Meeting took place in Brasilia, between January 17 and 19
Among the objectives were aspects related to the Covid-19 vaccination, responsibilities of the Social Control, 6th National Indigenous Health Conference and other aspects related to the National Indigenous Health Care Policy with differentiated attention, life and health in the communities.
The Forum of Presidents of the District Councils of Indigenous Health (FPCondisi) is constituted by the 34 presidents of Condisi that represent the users of the Indigenous Health Subsystem (SASISUS) that are directly attended to by the Federal Government in the villages. The meeting was held in Brasilia, with the participation of the presidents of the Condisi, members of the social control, workers´ representatives and SESAI management.
During the three-day event, themes such as transparency, governance, projects and challenges for this year were also discussed. SESAI is an achievement of the indigenous peoples and works in an integrated and inseparable way with Social Control.
It is worth mentioning that the entire meeting took place respecting the security requirements. "All the protocols related to Covid-19 and flu syndromes were adopted and the meeting took place with total safety. A unique opportunity to address issues pertinent to indigenous health." reinforced Robson Santos da Silva, Special Secretary of Indigenous Health.
Erivelto Fernandes, president of the FPCondisi also reinforced the importance of the meeting. "We would like to thank the commitment of the national management of SESAI. We see the importance of the actions that are carried out. The agenda was very rich and will certainly bring many good things for the future of our communities and the strengthening of our subsystem.
